FACTS AND FIGURES

Delivered February 1967 as D8197 from English Electrics Vulcan Foundry (works no EE3678/D1073)
Renumbered to 20197 in February 1974
Withdrawn from service at Toton November 1991

Its claim to fame is that with 20073 it was the last loco to leave Barrow Hill depot before closure, in February 1991.
The loco was bought as a source of spares for 20166, and as such is unlikely to be restored to working order. It is relatively complete, though several items have been removed over the years, for re use on our other locos. It is in original BR blue livery, which now looks very shabby. We would like to tidy it up, cosmetically, if time allows one day.
