FACILITIES on the Railway

Most of our day time trains are wheelchair friendly with a ramp available at all stations to gain access on to the train.

As entertainment of some sort is usually included with our evening trains wheelchair access to these trains is more limited.

There are toilets with wide doors available at Bodmin General station.  There are toilets on the train but these have traditional narrow doors.

Disabled passengers can travel on our day time trains (except Santa Specials & Dining Trains and receive 50% discount on the normal adult or child fares only.  We do not give discounts to carers except when booked in advance as part of an organisation.

BODMIN GENERAL station has reserved parking on the station forecourt for mobility impaired passengers

The Booking Office  is fitted with an induction hearing loop.  Most of the station including the shop is wheel chair accessible.

Boscarne Junction station is accessed via a ramp from the Camel Trail.  The nearest car park is about half a mile away.

Colesloggett Halt is a very rural station with access from a local footpath only.

Bodmin Parkway station is a main line station and is operated by First Great Western Trains.  Access to the Bodmin & Wenford Railway platform and the London bound mainline platform is either by the footbridge, which has steps, or on a level crossing over the main line by arrangement with First Great Western Trains.

The Bodmin & Wenford Railway will be happy to assist any disabled passenger including, if required, providing a personal guide.

Please contact us for more details.
