Come and enjoy 3 days of nostalgia at the Bodmin and Wenford Railway - a trip down memory lane.
 Steam trains, military vehicles, evacuees, re-enactment battles, air raid sirens.
Cornish Steam Jazz Band on Saturday evening at General Station and on the trains
An 18 piece Big Band in the atmospheric Public Rooms on Sunday evening.

A fun weekend with something for everybody

10.50 am  Steam Train departs for Bodmin Parkway
11.00 am  SUNDAY ONLY - Service at D.C.L.I. with Salvation Army and St Minver Band
11.42 am  NOT SUNDAY -  Air Raid at Bodmin General
12.00 am  Steam Train departs for Boscarne Junction 
12.15 pm  Skirmish at Boscarne Junction.
  1.10 pm  Steam Train departs for Bodmin Parkway.  Incident en route at St Mere Eglise
  2.12 pm  Air Raid at Bodmin General
  2.25 pm  Steam Train departs for Boscarne Junction
  3.30 pm  THE BIG BATTLE FOR BODMIN GENERAL STATION
 
4.15 pm  Steam Train departs for Bodmin Parkway
  6.00 pm  SATURDAY ONLY - Steam Jazz Band starts playing at Bodmin General
  7.00 pm  SATURDAY ONLY Steam Train departs for Boscarne Junction, back to
                Bodmin General (for Fish & Chips) then on to Bodmin Parkway and back.
 

  • Period costume encouraged.  Evacuees with Mums and Dads -
                                   bring your own family in period dress.

  • Visit the Military Medical Museum - also various stalls at Bodmin General.

  • Buffets open at Bodmin General and Bodmin Parkway serving Breakfasts, Bacon Butties, Sandwiches, Cakes, Drinks etc

  • Souvenir/Gift Shop at Bodmin General

  • Licensed Bar on the Train and at Bodmin General station

  • Visit the D.C.L.I. Museum opposite the Station (half price entry for passengers with rail tickets)

  • Impromptu musical performances on the platform at Bodmin General during the day

  • Scenarios on the train including sing-songs with Various Artistes.

EXTRA HIGHLIGHTS

SATURDAY 3rd MAY

EVENING STEAM SPECIAL with Cornish Steam Jazz Band.
Band plays on Bodmin General Station 6.00 to 7.00 then on Steam Train which departs to Boscarne Junction and returns to Bodmin General for Fish & Chips.  Band plays again 8.10 - 8.35; then on Steam Train which departs to Bodmin Parkway and return (back at about 9.35) Licensed Bar on the train including Real Ale

Adult £18.50; Child £8.50 Family £49.50 including Train Ride,
        Fish & Chips and Band.  Online bookings now closed
 

SUNDAY 4th MAY

SERVICE at D.C.L.I. War memorial (opposite station) at 11.00 am with the Salvation Army and Bodmin Town Band.

Bodmin Town Band will be playing 1940's Music on Bodmin General Station for part of the day

EVENING Swing Band (18 piece) and Ball at 7.00pm in the Public Rooms, Bodmin £12.00 with pasty supper. Licensed Bar.
